The festive period is over and the 2022 NRL season is just around the corner.
Players are back on the paddock, houses are being trained down and we can’t be far away from a ‘best shape of my career’ claim filling the headlines. There is a lot of spin at this time of year. Coaches don’t want to give too much away while SuperCoaches are looking for the slightest sign of an advantage to start the season. It’s difficult to determine what is real and what is simply filling column inches throughout an otherwise quiet period in the NRL.
What should we believe? Who is actually going to end up starting in Round 1? Is he the best man for the job at that position?

“Paywall” is an offensive term within rugby league fandom. Most fans would rather not read what’s behind the wall than pay the $30 a month to, most likely, be angered by whatever it is.
You don’t get what you pay for in rugby league writing – we would like to change that.
